Snowdrops by Starlight 2011

Highlights from the 2010 debut of Snowdrops by Starlight, Cambo Estate Snowdrop Woods

Following the successful debut last year, Cambo Estate (4 miles from Crail) will be hosting another Snowdrops by Starlight event. The Magical sound and light show takes you on a walk through the Snowdrop Woods as never seen before. You can get to the show from Crail on 5 nights, including the opening night Fri 11 February 2011. Buses will run Thursdays and Fridays during the show, half hourly 6-9h30pm. The Meeting point is the Crail Museum 62/64 Marketgate, which will be open 5h30-9h30. Tickets include transport both ways. Tickets can be booked online, by phone 01333 450054, or purchased at the Museum on the night (subject to availability). Last minute online tickets sales can be collected at the Museum. You are very welcome to come in and warm up while you wait for your bus, and the Museum staff would be very happy to provide you with information about Crail and the area to help you make the most of your stay. The Museum is staffed purely by volunteers and donations are very welcome.

The woods are also open daily 10-5pm 1 Feb – 13 March as part of the Snowdrop Spectacular. The Snowdrops are just starting to come up in the Denburn Wood in Crail, and in the Honeypot’s flower tubs (both complements of Cambo Estate), and Cambo have reported that there are more coming out everyday. The is also a sculpture display on during this period. Please share your experience with visitors by posting a comment below.
